Children's Book Day
Over 100 children and adults came out to enjoy the Dia de los Ninos/Dia de los Libros program at the Main Library in East Chicago. The celebration emphasized the importance of reading. “Dora the Explorer “read bilingual stories, danced and took pictures with the children. Elizabeth Pulido (Union Benefica Mexicana Queen) performed several violin selections and “Alberto the Clown” did magic tricks and made animal ballons.The children had a raffle, received free books and were served refreshments.
