The Children's Room welcomes the younger patrons from preschool age through eighth grade with books, programs and their own reference services. The staff also plays host to classes from the City's schools. Books are carefully selected for the best in children's literature. Help in finding books is always close at hand.
Children feel free to read, do homework or work educational
programs on the computer. Parents are encouraged to borrow books for reading to their children. Regular programming includes Preschool Story hour, Computer Club, After-school Reading and Crafts, Films and Summer Reading Program. Other programs are planned for the various age groups throughout the year.
