Bring the Library to you! We Deliver!
Unable to visit the library because of a physical disability, illness or accident that left them homebound? You can still enjoy your favorite books, magazines and audio materials in the convenience of their home. These materials can be delivered to their doorstep for free. Picturing America Grant Project
National Endowment for the Humanities at the Outreach Reading Centers:
The Purpose of Picturing America is to enhance the teaching, study, and understanding of American history and culture which also brings great art into public libraries. The East Chicago Public Library has received a set of forty reproductions of American Masterpieces, a teacher’s resource book and additional educational resources. Each center did an activity based on the theme of their portrait.
Movie Day
Come out and enjoy a good movie after school one day a week at your neighborhood Outreach Center program are held monthly.
Arts & Craft Day for Kids
Children of all ages enjoy arts and craft days weekly at your neighborhood Outreach Center.
Reading Day
Children of all ages take time out to read your favorite book at your neighborhood Outreach Center.
Computer Day
Children learn how to navigate a computer at your neighborhood Outreach Center.
Game Day
Children of all ages participate in game day activities once a week. Program held monthly.
