Meeting Rooms
Attention Residents, and Non Profit Organizations!!!
In carrying out the mission to serve the informational and educational needs of the community, the East Chicago Public Library offers meeting rooms in the Main Library and the Pastrick Branch Library. These rooms are available at no charge to East Chicago residents, eligible library patrons, non-profit groups and governmental agencies wishing to present programs or to hold meetings which serve the community’s needs for education, information and cultural enrichment.
Space is provided for a $5 fee for meetings or programs of not-for-profit groups of 2-100.
Non-profit groups who wish to hold meetings or present programs of civic, educational, or cultural purposes.
Smaller study rooms may be used by individuals. Reservations are required for use of the rooms. Events of a personal nature such as birthday or anniversary parties, reunions, showers, etc. are not allowed.
Priority is given to library-sponsored and co-sponsored activities. Availability for others is determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations may be made in person or by telephone during regular library hours and anytime during the year. The East Chicago Public Library supports recurring meetings for local groups.
