Marcia currently manages Operations, Program, and Technology Grants for Grace Missionary Baptist Church of East Chicago, Inc. where she teaches “Introduction to Computers” for senior citizens. 

She retired from the Indiana State Library in 2014 after a 34-year career in public and special libraries. She has worked as a Reference Librarian, Head of Reference, Main Library Supervising Librarian,  Manager of two Branch libraries; a Planning Consultant; Manager of a Literacy Library; and Manager of  a Microforms Division with Indiana History Collections; She was also an Institutional Consultant who  provided services to librarians in state prisons, state hospitals, the Indiana Veterans’ Home, and the Schools for the Deaf and the Blind and Visually Impaired – among others.  

Marcia’s genealogy life is happily spent writing her family’s personal stories.
